Hyperspectral Imagers for Health Monitoring Applications

This research will focus on building a system base on the imec hyperspectral camera for monitoring vital signs.

The vital signs we have most intests in are pulse rate (PR), pulse rate variability (PRV), oxygen saturation level (SpO2) and breathing rate (BR), these signs can be derived from a well-acquired PPG waveform.

The technique is aiming at monitoring vital signs in daily life in a cheap and efficient way. This system also has the potential to be used in clinic.
