Het KU Leuven Kankerinstituut (LKI): interdisciplinaire samenwerking ter bevordering van kankeronderzoek, kankerbehandeling en –zorg. (LKI)

The LKI unites expertise regarding cancer research, -treatment and -care within the Health Sciences campus Leuven. This is done via an organisational structure where experts from UZ Leuven, KU Leuven and VIB cooperate regarding on cancer related topics. The LKI Beleidsplan describes clearly defined targets to develop progress and added value in cancer research, -therapy and - care in the interest of patients. This creates opportunities for clinicians, paramedics and cancer researchers. Additionally, new and strengthened cooperations concerning cancer are created not only within UZ Leuven and KU Leuven, but also with other national and international partners.
