Forest Conversion Experiment Pijnven-Bosland. Setting-up a large-scaled tree-diversity experiment, part of the international FORBIO forest ecosystem research project

This project aims at establishing a large-scaled experiment that will allow to quantify the effect of tree species diversity on forest ecosystem functioning. The experiment will be established on a 8 ha site situated in Hechtel-Eksel, in the state forest Pijnven. In total 25 000 trees of five different species will be planted.
