Project

Flemish Inter-University Policy Research Centre for International Policy, International Entrepreneurship and Development Co-operation.

The Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies coordinates a Policy Research Centre on "Foreign policy, international entrepreneurship and development cooperation" for the Flemish Government. A Policy Support Centre aims to scientifically support Flemish regional policies. The project brings together 16 senior and 12 junior researchers (including eight PhD students). The Centre conducts (a) data collection and analysis, and provides (b) short-term policy supporting research, (c) fundamental scientific research and (d) scientific services. We have opted to compose an inter-university consortium, in which the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies will cooperate with several partners within the KU Leuven: the Faculty of Business and Economics, HIVA - Research Institute for Work and Society, and the Institute for International and European Policy. Next to this, colleagues from the Antwerp Centre for Institutions and Multilevel Politics, the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and the H.U.Brussel are involved in this project. Research is structured in four thematic pillars: (i) International and European Law; (ii) International and European Policy; (iii) International Entrepreneurship; and (iv)Development Cooperation.
