FlanSea: Research and development of a wave energy converter concept suitable for medium wave climate (Flansea)

The consortium aims with this project to a real-life laboratory 'concept of a wave energy converter (based on a single-buoy point absorber) to develop full-scale testing and at sea. The concept can be used must be robust in temperate climates wave, and result in an electricity cost that is competitive with other offshore renewable energy sources.
