Exocrine glands of Neotropical wasps and bees: new perspectives for systematics and sociobiological studies.

The Neotropics is a region with an enormous biological diversity. Wasps and bees from this area present high social complexity and diversity, mainly unexplored. The aim of this joint project intends to set a long term collaboration to explore such diversity. In this first attempt, we intend to work on two different subprojects that will deal with aspects related to sociobiology of bees and wasps as well as to explore the use of some glands in comparative biology of systematics.
