Project

Evaluation of the impact of the Trade Union Cooperation Programme 2003-2016 of the Institute for International Worker's Training (IIAV).

The Belgian trade union ACV, through its Institute for International Worker's Training (IIAV) supports trade unions and other relevant labour-related structures in developing countries. Through this impact evaluation, IIAV seeks to gain insights in the "positive (and negative) changes" in terms of working conditions for the workers and capacity development of the trade unions that are supported by the IIAV programme. The evaluation approach involves collecting and analyzing 'Most Significant Change' stories of shop stewards and questionnaires that explore working conditions (decent work check) as well as the effectiveness of the trade unions (union effectiveness check). The evaluation is carried out in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia and Colombia.
