EU-PASSWORLD: Widening complementary pathways linked to community sponsorship in Europe. (EU-PASSWORLD)

This project brings together a unique multi-stakeholder consortium of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Governments, Universitties and UNHCR offices leading the work on Community Sponsorship (CS) and Complemntary Pathways (CPs) to design, pilot and implement innovative policies, practices and tools that foster this link.  Connecting the Contact Group on Legal Migration and the national contact points for Resettlement and Humanitarian Admission the project will develop activities in Italy, Belgium and Ireland, that have committed to design policies for Labour and Eduction CP for people in need of international protection and implement programs that, whilst different forms, will be centered on linking legal pathways to community engagement.  Through the involvement of relevant Networks (UNHCR, GRSI and SHARE) we will analyze, exchange and compare national programs with other EU and non-EU countries (Canada, Australia and the UK) developing similar pathways.  Outputs will include: 1) Designing of targeted policies and implementation framework for Labour and Education Sponsored Pathways in IT, IE and BE; 2) Initiating and strengthening multi-stakeholder partnerships (governments, CSOs, international organisations universities, businesess) for Labour and Education CPs in IT, BE and IE; 3) Piloting of policies and innovative practies in the 3 countries, including recommending on innovative financial opportunities for self-sustainability; 4) Developing of methodologies and tools for local communities engagement in CPs applicable across countries in the EU and internationally, research and exchanges to leverage lessons learned and consolidating EUs leading role on the global stage.
