Division zone determination during plant somatic cytokinesis

Plant cytokinesis requires the determination of the division plane, formation of a membrane compartment, the cell plate, guided expansion of the plate to the division plane and finally fusion of the plate with the plasma membrane and maturation of the plate into a rigid cell wall. This project aims to acquire insight into the molecular players involved in the determination of the division plane during plant cytokinesis.
