The discourse on the 'Other' in the relations between the Burgundian-Habsburg, Mamluk and Ottoman Empires (1389-1529)
Since the early 15th century different regions in the Euro-Mediterranean region witnessed strikingly parallel transformations and reached a growing interconnectivity. This research project focuses on the mutual views of 'the Other' in this perspective, during a 'long 15th century' (1389-1529) relevant for the Burgundian-Habsburg, Mamluk and Ottoman Empires.
