Project

Development of a versatile aminoglycoside production platform in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

The aim of this project was twofold. On the one hand, the foundations for an efficient and flexible aminoglycoside production platform were laid as these molecules entail a broad societal impact. On the other hand, different tools and principles for engineering were postulated, leading to an increased production stability in eukaryote synthetic hosts (yeast) as the stability of production hosts on bioreactor scale in industry often poses as a hurdle.
