Project

The development of strong specific, efficient, flexible and safe TNF-receptor inhibitors for treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases.

By developing of TNFR1 inhibitory Nanobodies, I will determine whether TNFR1 inhibition is a better approach than inhibition of TNF alone because those TNF-inhibitors have lots of side-effects which can be prevented by using selective TNFR1 inhibitors. We will determine the therapeutic nich of TNFR1 inhibition and due to the flexibility of Nanobody, targetsystems will be developed to target specific, inflammatory regions.
