Development of a screening tool for analysing starting conditions at pIE.O schools.

The aim of this instrument is to chart the educational beliefs of teachers and headmasters of pIE.O -schools at the beginning of the pIE.O-project (Project Innoveren en Excelleren in Onderwijs). More in particular, staff members beliefs with regard to a number of domains that are deemed crucial for school effectiveness and innovative potential (e.g. language policy, team building, dealing with diversity, educational policy-making.) are covered in the questionnaire. The instrument should allow the user (school coach) to build up a clear picture of the teams beliefs with regard to the above-mentioned aspects, as well as the degree of unanimity within the team.
