Development of molecular identification and detection techniques for patuline producing moulds in order to study the impact of storage conditions of apples on the expression of patuline producing genes

A molecular technique to detect moulds, processing the genes for the synthesis of patulin, will be developped. Furthermore, the expression of one or several genes will be monitored in order to correlate them with the real patulin production and mould growth on apples as function of the several storage conditions of the apples.
