Development of KRN 7000 analogues with an improvement selectivity profile

Synthesis of alfa-galactosylceramide (KRN 7000) analogues with potential induction of a polarised cytokine respons (Th1 or Th2) by NKT cells. The proposed modifications intend an improved bindingafffinity with the CD1d protein. This should result in a bias towards a Th1 respons.
