Design and design automation of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits

Microelectronic/nanoelectronic integrated circuits are the underlying technology for the many ICT applications that increasingly impact our daily lives: computing, communication, multimedia, entertainment, transport, healthcare, etc. While more and more applications are becoming digital in nature, analog and mixed analog-digital integrated circuits remain an essential part in electronic systems for the countless applications that interact with the outside physical world. Application fields include automotive, telecom, internet and Internet of Things, personalized medicine, etc. The research focuses on the design of innovative analog/mixed-signal architecture and circuit solutions in advanced technologies, as well as on methods, algorithms and computer tools for the design automation (modeling and simulation, optimization and synthesis, manufacturability and reliability, testing) of these integrated circuits.
