Dealing with traditional law in the context of judical development cooperation (after conflict) in Africa

Research on the vision and policy of external actors regarding traditional justice systems in international legal aid for rule of law and transitional justice in post conflict sub-Sahara Africa. Traditional justice systems are analysed in terms of their potential contribution to the construction of democratic states and their role in transitional justice mechanisms, with a special focus on human rights.
