Cryptography secured against side-channel attacks by tailored implementations enabled by future technologies

Side-channel attacks break cryptographic applications by analyzing signals that originate from naive implementations of the underlying cryptographic algorithms. In this project, we will pursue joined algorithmic-implementation R&D to result in a new class of enhanced secure cryptographic solutions: algorithms and implementation techniques that are secure against side-channel attacks. We will investigate crucial fundamental questions at the mathematical and the implementation side, and most importantly the leveraging we foresee of both.
