Project

Cooperation between N-MYC overexpression and epiginetic deregulation in peripheral T cell lymphoma

The main objective of my research project is to investigate in more detail how N-MYC overexpression together with epigenetic deregulation can drive T cell transformation and lymphoma development.  I then aim to use these new insights into the disease mechanism to identify potential durggable targets for N-MYC positive T cell lymphomas.

Therefore, the specific aims of this project are the following:

  • Aim 1: to investigate how N-MYC overexpression induces T cell transformation and subsequent lymphoma development using N-MYC driven mouse models of T cell lymphoma.
  • Aim 2: to uncover the cooperative mechanism of N-MYC and epigenetic deregulation, in order to identify druggable targets.
  • Aim 3: to validate the oncogenic mechanism and potential druggable targets in PTCL patient samples and in PTCL PDX models
