Project

Contrast different evolutionary models to the observed genome architecture of several plant species

The main objective of this project is to contrast different evolutionary models to the observed genome architecture of several plant species and examine whether certain features of these genomes arose through non-adaptive evolutionary mechanisms or through positive or negative selection. The same strategy will be also applied on regulatory networks of plants to examine the degree in which selective evolution contributed in the evolution of the currently observed topologies.
