Compressed Sensing in scanning laser Doppler vibrometry for efficient non-destructive inspection of composite materials

Compressed sensing is a novel sampling technique which beats the Nyquist dogma in digital signal analysis. Laser Doppler vibrometric inspection of materials typically requires a dense spatial grid of measurement points. This project will exploit the concepts of compressed sensing in vibrometric inspection. This allows to largely relax the dense measurement grid, which will lead to a time-efficient inspection methodology.
