A comparative analysis of ethnic minority students’ strategies and their experienced barriers and opportunities for realizing success in Higher Education in China and Flanders (Belgium).

This study explores through qualitative research in one HE institution in Flanders and one HE institution in China, the experienced barriers and opportunities for ethnic minorities in obtaining educational success in HE. This study considers the importance of ethnic identities and networks, HE policies and pedagogy and curriculum, experiences of racism and discrimination and students strategies in obtaining HE qualifications.
