Project

Collectively agreed wages in Europe [CAWIE] Improving existing data and indicators to support social dialogue and economic governance in the EU.

The project should contribute to improving expertise in the field of industrial relations at European level (supporting European trade unions in their efforts to monitor and co-ordinate wage developments in Europe and co-operation between European social partners). It is expected to deliver an in-depth analysis of existing data, including the public and private sectors and four specific sectors, taking trends between 1995 and 2010 into account. It will be looking into the data available in ten European countries including the UK, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. National experts of social partners will be consulted to draft these national reports. HIVA is responsible for drafting the syntehsis report on methodological quality (improvement).
