Co-HIL: Cognition in Hearing Impaired Listeners

Hearing-impaired listeners complain of difficulties with speech understanding. First, research unraveling speech understanding in relation to cognitive functioning in hearing-impaired listeners will be performed. Digital signal processing settings of hearing aids will be optimized based on individual auditory-cognitive need, and finally, hearing aid outcome will be investigated after auditory-cognitive training. This will optimize the individual outcome of hearing aid intervention.
