CLIL history learning in Flemish schools

This research examines which factors determine the learning success within CLIL history of pupils from Flemish secondary education. Success is described in terms of achieving the curricular goals and final attainment targets for history, but within the context of non-Dutch medium education.

Specific research questions include:

Does a CLIL course offer as many opportunities to develop students' reading skills as a non-CLIL course?
To what extent do secondary school pupils use CLIL learning strategies?
Are fourth-year CLIL and non-CLIL pupils as able to approach historical problems with 'the voice of a historian'?
