Children’s rights in international parental abduction cases: in search of a solid legal and theoretical framework governing the interaction of civil and criminal law procedur

International parental kidnapping gives rise to a complex interplay of possible civil and criminal procedures. The reading of decisions from these procedures does not adequately guarantee the rights of the children involved. Possible solutions for this are confronted with conceptual and legal problems. A better framework is developed by triangulation of analyzes of theoretical bases, legislation, case studies and interviews with practitioners from a comparative perspective.
