CESGO! (R-11870)

The CESGO! project stands for "CESCOs GO!" and aims to prepare the playing field for CESCOs (Circular Economy Service COmpanies). Whereas today there are already many ESCOs (Energy Service COmpanies), there are only a limited number of CESCOs. Most of them are pilot projects, lacking the growth from 'Innovators' to 'Early Adaptors'. It is therefore socially valuable to develop business models for CESCO projects since these are aimed at closing material cycles and facilitating the transition to a circular economy. Therefore, this project focuses on levelling the playing field for CESCOs. To this end, three aspects are examined: - Economic: In which market segments can a CESCO deploy circular concepts in an economically competitive manner? - Legal: How can a CESCO offer products 'as-a-service'? - Technical: Do the intended products of a CESCO result in a lower environmental impact and are they compatible with each other? This information is then disseminated. On the one hand to manufacturers, contractors, building owners, etc. to launch CESCOs. On the other hand, to government bodies to indicate where support is needed for the further market roll-out.
