Balancing the mandatory disclosure of information and date protection in business regulation

The increased mandatory information disclosure at European level, and the growin possibilities for the circulation and treatment of the available information, increasingly impair on the right to privacy and the protection of personal data (European Directive 95/46/EC). Both areas of regulation indeed reflect a fundamentally different rationale. This project will try to strike the right balance between both areas.
