Balancing the Belgian electricity system for maximal use of Renewable Energy generation by a Grid Injection Limit Algorithm and optimal Battery deployment. (R-9390)

To achieve the Paris climate targets, the use of renewable energy (wind and sun) is necessary for electricity production in Belgium. To avoid a large adaptation cost to the electricity grid, when using these variable production sources, a detailed study is carried out into network injection algorithms and the optimization of battery capacity. This will lead to a cost reduction for Belgian electricity production and distribution in combination with a significant reduction in Belgian CO2 emissions.
