Aristoteles Latinus 2.0: creating a Digital Aristoteles Latinus Environment (DALE)

This project will develop a digital environment for the Aristoteles Latinus project (DALE), the longstanding project that aims at documenting the different forms in which the Corpus Aristotelicum was read in Latin in the Middle Ages. Its purpose is to facilitate research on medieval Aristotelianism in general, and on medieval Aristotle translations, more concretely. More specifically, we will create a portal website that offers (1) a survey of the history and progress of the Aristoteles Latinus project; (2) extensive bibliographical tools; (3) most importantly, a dynamic online catalogue of the Aristoteles Latinus manuscripts, in which past and presentday research on manuscripts will be integrated and which will offer the first systematic overview of all A.L. manuscripts available online.
