Architectural Exhibitions in ‘Flanders’ as Vehicles for Architectural Culture and Catalysts towards Architecture Policy, 1983-2010

This project studies how architectural exhibitions in ‘Flanders’ between 1983 and 2010 have served as medium for a public architectural cultural debate, and how they have contributed to the development of an architectural policy. Through a database of architectural exhibitions and through annotated digital reconstructions of exhibition installations of eight cases, digital humanities methods are developed for exhibition historical research.
