Project

Analysis of glycosylation changes on the surface of lymphocytes and their pathophysiological relevance during chronic necro-inflammation

The project aims at studying the glycosylation changes on proteins of the lymphocytes' cell surface. Moreover, we want to develop proteomics technology in order to identify the proteins showing these glycosylation changes. In a later stage of the project, we will interfere with these glycosylation pathways in disease models for chronic necro-inflammation to assess to what extent these pathways can serve as drug targets.
