Project

Adapting multilingual information provision to communication needs in asylum reception centers. (AMICA)

The project aims to address communication challenges in the asylum context by (1) gaining a better understanding of the communication needs of applicants with a vulnerable linguistic profile and (2) using these insights to develop more targeted multilingual  information service for asylum reception, taking into account the different linguistic and cultural backgrounds and different levels of literacy of the target group. To this end, different methods in ehnographic research will be combined in different phases of the project i.e. observations, interviews and focus groups.
