Oxidative stress and cardiovascular disease events
The present invention relates to diagnosis and/or prognosis of cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular events. A prognostic risk score in relation to the cardiovascular events, more particular after intervention, can be determined by counting the number of deregulated genes (or derived proteins) in their isolated monocytes. Deregulation means low expression of COX1 and/or COX4/1, and/or TFAM, and/or RUNX2.
