The Interfaculty Centre for Agrarian History aims to support ongoing and to stimulate and launch new research, on the history of agriculture, countryside and food chain in Flanders (19th-20th century) in the national and international context. Bringing together specialists from several scientific disciplines ICAG gives priority to comparative multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research that sheds new light on the historical and recent, ongoing changes in the countryside and in the food chain. In addition, the influence of different variables studied, including soil, landscape, spatial planning, agricultural science and technology, demography, economics, public policy, public image, ideologies, social movements and so on.
