Organisation profile:The unit energy and circular economy works on the development of solutions and strategies for a more efficient energy consumption and an enhanced use of renewable energy on farm. As a second pilar, the unit works on the development of circular systems, with a specific focus on the recuperation of energy, nutrients and other resources out of agricultural sidestreams. Research is done on how plant production can be integrated in the biobased economy in a sustainable way.
