The De Wulf-Mansion Centre is a research centre for ancient, medieval and renaissance philosophy. Current projects : History of Platonism: study of Plato, the Early Academy, Academic scepticism, Posthellenistic Platonism; Neoplatonism: study of Neoplatonic metaphysics, ontology, philosophy of nature, philosophy of science, philosophical methodology; critical edition of Neoplatonic commentaries on Plato (Proclus In Timaeum, Proclus In Euclidem); - Medieval Schools of Thought: Thomism, Albertism, Nominalism; - Marsilius of Inghen (critical edition of Sentences commentary); - Heymericus de Campo (critical edition of Opera Selecta); - The reception of De caelo in the 13 th century (esp. Moerbeke's translation of Simplicius' In De caelo ; Petrus de Alvernia, Questiones super De celo); - commentaries on De motu animalium (Petrus de Alvernia, Burlaeus etc.); - Averroism at the end of the 13th century (edition of Averroes' De beatitudine anime, of Henry Bate's Speculum divinorum, and of Ferrandus Hispanus' Metaphysics-commentary); - Henry of Ghent (edition of the Opera Omnia); - The Centre also co-ordinates the edition of the medieval Latin translations of Aristotle (Aristoteles Latinus). In preparation are: Moerbeke's translations of the Physica, De anima, De historia animalium, De motu animaliu and De progressu animalium. - The Centre is also involved in the completion of the edition of the Avicenna Latinus . The Centre organises seminars and colloquia in the field of ancient and Medieval Philosophy. Publications: Ancient and Medieval Philosophy. Series 1; Ancient and Medieval Philosophy; Henrici de Gandavo Opera Omnia; Corpus Latinum Commentariorum in Aristotelem Graecorum. Together with the Thomas-Institut (Universität zu Köln), the Centre publishes a journal : Recherches de Théologie et Philosophie Médiévales.
