Organisation profile:

The clinical laboratory focussing on diagnosis of travel and import diseases, holds the official reference laboratory for the diagnosis of infectious and tropical diseases (MB 31/08/1998-BS 10/12/1998), the National Reference Center (NRC) for arboviruses, Rickettsia and Coxiella and the national reference laboratory for Entamoeba histolytica, Cryptosporidium, Leishmania and Leptospira. A broad panel of accredited diagnostic tools exists in the lab and the portfolio has been extended substantially in recent years.
