Point-of-care ultrasound in general practice.

We want to investigate the possibilities and implementation of ultrasound in general practice in Belgium. Due to technological progress, echo devices are becoming more compact, cheaper and more accessible. Ultrasound has already proven to be a useful diagnostic tool in several health areas. Providing the general practitioner, as the first point of contact for patients, with good diagnostic tools is important to set up a fast and efficient treatment or referral.
