From the cradle to the grave – the urban environment impinges on developmental programming and acts as selective agent

Wildlife is increasingly exposed to urban habitats, and the ability to cope with novel environments varies both between and within species. Here, I will analyse the effects of an urban lifestyle throughout all life stages in a coastal breeding gull and how this influences behaviour, ontogeny and habitat preferences. This project aims to increase our understanding of urban selective pressures.
