Biomechanical approach to optimize the recovery of Achilles Tendinopathy

Achilles tendinopathy is a common overuse injury characterized by pain, swelling and impaired ability to perform sports and/or daily activities. Since rehabilitation is highly individualized and is currently mainly based on subjective assessment, there is a need for improvement. The aim of this PhD is therefore to combine Ultrasound technology and OpenSim in order to clearly map the load in the Achilles tendon and to progressively improve the rehabilitation based on this.
