Small-scale aquaculture using kitchen waste and agricultural by-products as sustainable fish feed resources

Small-scale fish ponds are a potential solution for quantitative and qualitative malnutrition in Ethiopia, especially for infants. This project evaluates if sustainable feed resources such as kitchen waste and agricultural by-products can be successfully applied to farm fish by rural households. First, on-campus experiments will be performed, that then will serve as basis to implement small-scale aquaculture at rural communities.
