Reconstructing soil discontinuities with multidimensional frequency-domain electromagnetic sensors

We aim at investigating a combination of deep theoretical insights in the physics of frequency-domain electromagnetic signals and the advanced processing of data obtained with state-of-the-art soil sensors to significantly improve the reconstruction of soil discontinuities in 3-D such as

the interface between lithologically contrasting layers and the identification of World War I remains.
