Modeling and control of energy-harvesting wireless sensor networks

To overcome dependency on batteries, there is a current interest in sensors that harvest their energy. This project proposes and analyses stochastic models that allow for optimising sensor design, explicitly accounting for the limitations of energy harvesting. To this end, novel performance analysis techniques will be developed that capture both data transmissions and energy consumption in wireless sensor networks.
