Assessment of renal function in dogs with diabets mellitus and dogs with Cushing's disease using new renal biomarkers

Endocrine disorders such as diabetes mellitus and Cushing's disease can cause nephropathies. The aim of this project is to assess the influence of these disorders on renal function in dogs using new renal biomarkers that allow early detection and localisation of renal damage. Furthermore, urinary protein profiling will be used in order to detect supplemental renal biomarkers.
