Early signaling events during a newly discovered hypocotyl-‐specific adventitious rooting pathway

Through chemical genetics approach, we found a hypocotyl-‐specific adventitious root induction (hysparin) pathway conserved in dicotyledonous plants. The synthetic compound hysparin induces dense adventitious root formation on etiolated hypocotyls without changing the growth dynamics of the existing root system. Were, we will study the perception of hysparin and identify key signaling components by analysing the AR transcriptome and suppressor mutants.
