Project

Glycosides of essential oils for targeted antimicrobial activity in the gastro-intestinal tract of weaned piglets

During this project the potential of glycosides of essential oils to obtain a retarded release in the gastrointestinal tract of weaned piglets will be examined. For this purpose the glycosidase activity along the gastrointestinal tract will be mapped and a mathematical model will be developed to simulate the release of the active component, here the essential oil.
