Beyond GDP: alternative measures of economic welfare for the EU-15

This project explores (a) whether the observed economic growth in the EU-15 countries since 1995 has led to increases in economic welfare and (b) to what extent different pro-economic growth policies are also beneficial for economic welfare in the EU-15. In order to do so, we will first establish a theoretically sound methodological framework for alternative measures of economic welfare.
