Modulation of host-microbial interplay in spondyloarthritis

Previous research revealed a link between joint and gut inflammation. In this project we aim to study microbial alterations in the intestinal flora of spondyloarthritis patients and their impact on the functionality of innate-like immune cells. The ultimate goal is to explore how these cells can be modulated to establish long-term disease remission.
