Pragmatic Analysis of the Byzantine Meters: a Corpus-based Research of Medieval Book Epigrams

The goal of this research is the study of the innovative Byzantine meters, within the methodological framework of information structure. This will happen in a pragmatic way, i.e. with regard for how the Byzantines used and experienced these meters themselves. A corpus of Byzantine book epigrams will be employed, which is already available in the ‘Database of Byzantine Book Epigrams’.
